Alopecia or Alopecia Areata is a hair disease that creates small bright hairless patches on the scalp of the affected individual. Baldness is the informal term that people use to define Alopecia; it appears to be the circular bald patches that may overlap. In Ayurveda, this condition is known as ‘Khalitya.’ It is an autoimmune disease that attacks the hair follicles that may have an influence of stress and panic. It can be estimated by the excessive hair loss, thinning of hair, and easily breaking of hair.

The natural treatment works on the hidden causes of Alopecia, such as Genetic disorders, Malnutrition, Chemotherapy, Stress, and Anxiety. Ayurvedic therapies like aromatherapy, acupuncture, probiotics, micro-needling, scalp massage, herbal teas, oiling therapy, and Aloe Vera consumption may help with the removal of the patches from the scalp. Treatments like phototherapy, inoculation, hair weaving, and hair transplants may have specific side effects and complications for the wellbeing of the scalp.
