Vyanabala Vaishamya is a prolonged illness defined in the Ayurvedic texts that damage the arteries. It is best known as the problem of high blood pressure and medically, hypertension. Enforced pressure of blood from the heart to kidneys causes cardiovascular diseases. The average levels of systolic and diastolic pressure should be below 120/80, respectively. The etiology states that the accumulation of mal (waste) and toxins (Ama) in the body reflects how our energies are reacting to the functioning of the body. Be it a Neurogenic or a Primary Hypertension; it will eventually result in heart dysfunctioning only.
Ayurveda calls it a dosh in Hridya (the heart) and detects the elevated levels of sodium and potassium build-up in the blood. Ama is the toxins that get accumulated when the digestive system works poorly and leads to many illnesses.
