When a person develops a skin disorder like urticaria, he is likely to notice the raised rash on the skin. Urticaria is also addressed by different names such as hives,rash. It spreads over the larger skin area and is very itchy in nature. Sometimes, it can turn into an intense and chronic condition. In the conventional treatment method, steroids are provided to the patients, but the treatment of this skin disorder is very effective in Ayurveda. The rashes of urticaria are common skin manifestation that results due to allergies.
It is not a life-threatening condition, and the effects are also not very fatal. Breaking the Ayurvedic name of this skin disorder into two, we get Sheeta and Pitta that means cold and warmth, respectively. Therefore, it is described as a condition of the dominance of cold over hot. This means the dominance of Kapha and Vata dosha over Pitta. As per Ayurveda, insect bite, excess consumption of salty food, exposure to cold, poisonous bugs, etc. are some of the causative factors of urticarial. As far as the treatment of urticaria in Ayurveda is concerned, it includes body detoxification therapies, herbal medications, massage, and consumption of the right food items.
